My friend and I worked together to make a Google Docs. PowerPoint Presentation. We focused on the Jewish emigration during the Nazi period. It was a very interesting topic. 


My learner profile for this activity: 

       Inquirer -  I was an inquirer because I had lots of questions about the topic, and I was able to find the answers to my questions
        Knowledgeable - I am now very knowledgeable about this topic after researching this topic.
        Thinkers - I was a thinker because with help from my I thought of all the backgrounds on the slides.
        Communicator - I was a communicator because I communicated with my partner to discuss one an others ideas. 
       Open-Minded - I was open- minded because I listened to all of my partners ideas even if I didn't think they were that good.
       Risk-Takers -I was a risk-taker because I had to present the PowerPoint to my class.
       Reflective- I was reflective because I reflected over our work to see if there were any errors.

In this activity I demonstrated these IB attitudes:

• Commitment: being committed to their learning, preserving and showing self-discipline and responsibility
• Confidence: feeling confident in their ability as learners, having the courage to take risks, applying what they have learned and making appropriate decisions
• Cooperation: cooperating, collaborating and leading or following as the situation demands
• Creativity: being creative and imaginative in their thinking and in their approach to problems and dilemmas
• Curiosity: being curious about the nature of learning and the world, its people and cultures
• Enthusiasm: enjoying learning

    I have recorded  approximately 18 hours of media usage through out this week.
    I was very surprised withe the total number of media I have used through out the week.

1.)   I use specific types of media for specific purposes, because I wouldn't use a factual website to contact my friends. I would use Skype, Face Time or the phone to contact my friends. There are many different types of media which are designed for many different purposes .
 
2.)   I use specific types of media for specific relationships. I would contact my grandparents using Skype Skype or Face I would use email to contact my friends and teachers. I would use Wikipedia to research information for teachers.  You could have a type of media which is used for many kinds of media, but the types of media you use really depends on the relationship!
  
3.)   Media can cause a lot of stress for people because you could find out stuff you do not want to know. It also provides a lot more work, because you have to work hard in your job using media. The day of the week really effects how much media you use, because you could have a lot of homework business work which includes media, so you could get very stressed! 
     
4.)  Media plays a big  role in my life, because I spend a lot of time using media. The research I gathered on how much media I have used is only in one week, so you can probably tell that I use a fair amount of media!

Subject: Roses are Red... -limericks, free verse,  haikus, rhyme scheme, narrative poetry 

My learner profile for this activity:  I was reflective in this piece of work, because I spent a lot of time looking over my work.  I spent a lot of time checking my spelling and revising my poems.

In this activity I demonstrated these IB attitudes: I was Independent, Committed,  Creative, Confident and Enthusiastic through-out this project!

I chose this piece of work because: The poems in my Photo Peach Presentation are some of the best poems I have done during my Unit of Inquiry. Seeing as they are some of my best poems, I decided to put them in my Photo Peach presentation!

One Night

One night,
at witching hour
the ghosts abandoned their towers

One night,
at witching hour
Frankenstein waits for his powers

One night,
at witching hour
a monster appeared to be made of flour

One night,
at witching hour
it was our turn to cower

All the monsters have been hiding
for a year
until the one the night 
when it's our turn to fear.
